Now I am really an expert on the United Nations Organization. Not only have i looked through all the teacher's reference books for information on the UN, i've made a powerpoint on it, i've made an online video lesson on it, i've also taught this topic twice to 2 different classes.. Now i can memorise almost everything in my ppt slides already! Haha. Me the UN expert. Cool.

Today i really felt the tremendous satisfaction of teaching.
I taught that UN Mock Conference class (4H) again.. I gave them a lesson on the UN and then went through some source-based questions.. Cos it was the second time im teaching it in class.. I was already getting good at explaining the stuff.. so instead of just me talking and the students listening i manage to get them to interact with me.. Probably cos this class know nothing much about the UN beforehand.. they were very attentive and interested while i lectured... And some more my powerpoint is full of pictures and photos.. nice to look at, so nobody fell asleep.. Haha.. I made use of the pictures to ask them for responses and also asked them for opinions on certain recent issues associated with the UN, example SARS, bird flu, Iraq war, the North Korean nuclear weapons etc.. After this, i gave them feedback on the political cartoons which they drew last week.. I allowed the few groups which got the highest marks to present their work to the class.. This made them really happy.. and we had a good laugh at some of the things they drew.. At the end of the lesson my mentor told them that they might not see me again.. that sprouted a lot of commotion "Why WHY? You dont like us ah? We will miss you leh!" Hehee.. they say they will miss me leh... Actually i will miss them too.. they are such a fun-loving bunch of students.. What made me even more happy was my mentor's comment on my teaching.. she said i did very well cos i managed to engage the students in the lesson and most importantly i made the students like me.. She say thats the biggest challenge of being a teacher.. I felt a strong sense of satisfaction. I DID IT! Haha.. But i know i will not succeed all the time.. So I must work harder! =)

Oh btw.. You know Clara, that Dunman High girl in Campus Superstar? Yea.. i taught her class today too.. But i didnt notice her at all.. even until i picked out her name randomly from the class list to call to answer question.. It was only when she stood up and i saw her face then i realised. OOO... I said "You look SO familiar!" in a joking manner... the class laughed, and she smiled very sweetly at me.. Such an adorable girl. Haha..
