Im back at the comp lab again! Great place to send free sms and chat on msn... provided got pple online to talk to la... Anyway, 2 days have passed. So far so good lo... now we are getting used to the hostel liao la... maybe cos we have personalised it with our own stuffs.. like bedsheets, soft toys and things we bought during our shopping sprees.. heheh.. You cant imagine how much things i've bought lo.. and i cant imagine how i am gonna bring all the stuff home! haha.. My friend say this is called 'retail therapy'.. which means you feel happy after buying things that you dun feel the suffering in that lousy hostel... It works man.. shopping makes me happy!! ahaha. Today we will be heading to Petaling Street.. which is the Chinatown in KL... looks lik i can look forward to another round of retail therapy lo! =)

Hello my fellow friends!!
I am now in University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
My room in 7th college really sucks to the core.. i dunno how to describe to you how baaaaaad it is. Its worse than the lousiest hall in NTU or NUS... its worse than BMT army bunks... Perhaps its only better than squatters in some 3rd world countries! ARRRGGGHHH
I will post some pics soon.. then you will see wad i mean man.
But KL shopping malls are great though.. yesterday we shopped at Mid Valley Mega Mall... I finally know wad MEGA means! Much bigger than Suntec City mall you know... And MEGA mall plus MEGA sale is like a paradise.. haha... Bought quite a lot of things la.. but not enough.. will go back there another day!

YEAHHH!
Had a great time today!
The presentations were all very good.. i think we all stressed over nothing loa... And most important of all we really enjoyed watching other groups presenting their projects in an entertaining manner... some were super funny lo.. hahaa...

And today is Woon Seng's (a malaysian) birthday.. so we gave him a BIG surprise by celebrating it for him... He really got a big shock lo! He was so touched and i can be sure he almost cried.. but he purposely dun let me see when i wanna photograph him.. Haha..

To end the day... all of us had a 'Friendship Dinner' at Wang Yhingthai Restaurant... All the food were very nice la.. Except for the tom yam soup... Wah seh... i super hate the smell lo... Can you imagine the whole table of 10 pple, all had tom yam soup except me... The smell was so overwhelming ah!! .. But other than that, all the other food were delicious.. like the fried pomfret, stuffed chicken wings, pineapple rice etc... and my personal favourite is the desert - mango with glutinous rice. And what i like about it is the mango... yes the pure fresh piece of mango with nothing added, which you can get it at anywhere actually.. haha.. But its very sweet lo.. very long never eaten such sweet mango leh.. *yum*yum*

Tomorrow is THE BIG DAY lo!
After 2 weeks of hard work.. tmr we shall all present our findings!
Never did such a formal presentation before lo... 30 min... powerpoint got 55 slides leh.. a lot of things to say... And i haven go memorise the important points.. Will do it in awhile.
I really hope everything goes well tmr!

I'll be leaving this Sunday early in the morning.. will be back on 18th June...
Dun miss me too much orh!!
Haha.. actually not many people will miss me la... more like i will miss everybody here.. *sobz*

For the past 2 weeks.. there is only one word to describe my life - BUSY
The first week was everyday lectures in the morning, followed by a discussion or field trip in the afternoon... Then after that Singaporeans become tour guides, bring the Malaysians to different places of interest in Singapore... I tried 2 places, one is Bugis which is mainly for shopping, so i was an expert.. haha.. i brought 3 girls walk around the whole of Parco Bugis Junction, Seiyu, Bugis Street and even OG... li hai ba! The other place i tried was Little India.. i'm not very familiar with this place la.. except i did a psychogeography project on it last sem... so i only know a bit here and there... But quite stress leh.. cos in my 'tour group' includes the 2 Malaysian lecturers... So i must at least say some intellectual things ma.. haha.. alright la.. say a bit lo, wrong also they dunno. =P
Anyway my conclusion is - Being a tour guide is very tiring!! By the end of the first week my whole body ached lo...*ouch*ouch*
2nd week we are on our own doing project. My group is doing a research on how to promote Peranakan culture to the tourists, and the possibility of making Katong into a 'Peranakan Hub'. So far we have done a few interviews with the shopkeepers in Katong, and 43 surveys with tourists at Changi Airport, and one telephone interview with tour agent... Do research not easy wor!! Need to go from place to place.. talk to people.. record down.. go home still need to go through all the info obtained... Then when obtain enough data.. need to do a powerpoint, and prepare a 30 min presentation.. which will be held this coming friday. So little time left! We must jiayou!!

MY EXAMS ARE FINALLY OVER.
having my last paper on the last day of exams in NUS means my whole exam period ends super late... which also means that my special term Field Studies Module starts immediately after my exams.. which is tomorrow... No time to celebrate!!
In fact by today, the students from University of Malaya (UM) will arrive in Singapore... tmr will be the welcome tea and first day of lectures... Basically this is an exchange program in which the UM students will stay in Singapore from 9May to 28May, then we will go over from 29May to 18 June... at both places we will be studying tourism concepts through lectures and field trips to various tourist attractions... So i guess it'll be like a semi-vacation la... just that need to do report and stuff.. hehee. But it will be fun!!! ...can go visit a lot of interesting places! And hopefully can make some nice friends.. then can go shopping in KL together.. Wo0ahh.. that'll be so exciting. haha..
Busy Busy Busy! From tmr onwards i'll be busy everyday.. my schedule is so packed with things from morning to night! ...and somemore prof says we must be a good host to them.. so that they will take care of us in return when we are in KL.. And one thing which my prof said that is very true... If we leave the Malaysians in Singapore by themselves, they probably still can get by, but if they do the same thing to us, we'll probably not survive in Malaysia by ourselves! hahaa..

Yesterday i had a nice time shopping in Orchard with Serene. i can say that she is my new-found friend bah... cos yesterday was the first day we met... but the amazing part is we know quite a lot abt each other before that.. partly due to msn chats.. but more of reading each other's blogs... but more of her reading my blog la.. She's so good at remembering things i wrote in my blog that i think its scary.. hahaa... she recall things which i cant even remember lo! ... Anyway she is kenneth's girlfriend.. and kenneth is weiliat's army friend.. and this kenneth is not the kenneth whom i mentioned abt in all my previous blog entries..haha.. hope this is not too confusing. How did we got to know each other huh? ..hmm... i think through friendster she stumbled upon my blog's url.. then she read my blog and concluded that i am an interesting person..haha.. then she msged me in friendster and got my msn... correct right? Hahaa... then of cos i cant disappoint a person who finds me interesting mah... hahaa... so wo men jiu zhe yang ren shi le lo!
Anyway yesterday i was really bored so i asked her out to shop around... which was a good decision cos she has absolutely similar taste as me! ...both of us likes fashion items with flowers, butterflies, glitter, sequins etc... and both of us like lime green! hehe.. my ipod colour lo... Its so shuang when we both spot a top we like and it turns out to be the same.. and somemore we exclaim, "hao piao liang oh!" at the same time... hahaa.. Somemore we are not just similar in terms of fashion sense.. but also on a lot of other things... well.. Other than both our bfs work at the same place, do the same things, and tell us the same kinda army stuff, we are also similar in the things we complain abt our bfs! hahaha... i think we can complain complain complain until so 'high'... cos we keep going, "yah lor! my bf also like that leh!!" ...haha.

Today me and my mom, together with huiting, her bro and her mom... went to Botanical Gardens to watch the performance by Singapore Symphony Orchestra at the new Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage... It is quite a beautiful place... the stage is right in the centre of a big lily pond.. got the si qing hua yi de feeling.. heheh.. And the music was good! Besides that, i realised the SSO conductor is Lim Yau.. and i suddenly remembered during JC2, vjchoir sang with SSO for a charity concert and he conducted us.. that time we really didnt like him at all... Cos he made us sing an unpleasant song in a weird way that he deemed correct..
I tried to spot a pri/sec school friend who is in SSO.. but i sat too far away to see clearly...
But i saw zan xuan and her mom there too.. they spotted me first la.. and it took her mom some time trying to wave and attract my attention before i saw them.. hahaa.
