Busy Busy Busy... tutorials haven even start and im so busy. How amazing.

Was reading about tectonic plates and volcanoes all afternoon... physical geography is hard... Espceially when i skipped OLevel geog, skipped Alevel goeg.. and jump straight to take University level geog... im impressed with myself that up till now i still understand wad im reading. hahaha...Im not trying to brag lar. Seriously im having a hard time catching up... especially with people who took Alevel geog.. And the worst thing is the lecturer assumes we ALL have geog background.. "This part i think you all have studied in JC or in Sec sch rite? So you shd have no problems.." ...come on lor.. i almost wanted to stand up and say "Do not assume!"

VS going to beocome co-ed??! hahaha.. i remember last time in primary six when i was suppose to choose and rank my Secondary school choices i thought VS was a mix school and put it as third choice. wahaha... And now its gonna become reality?? Most of the old boys are protesting la... Well at first i thot the idea will be welcomed .. i mean wouldnt guys like to see girls around? hahaha... Anyway im bewildered to hear that our dear principal actually complained abt the line in our school song - "victoria, thy sons are we" .. Its unfair in a way.. but all of us girls never even say a word through out the years.. wad for bring it up now.. And anyway we cant change it to "victoria, thy children are we" ... that will be one extra syllable... so i think best is stay the way it is.

So fast one week of school have passed... and i've transformed into a nerd.
I realised that i would start reading my textbook or my readings once i have free time... its like an autogear... haha.. amazing hor. I AM A NERD. hahaha...
I think its the good influence from my dear korkors - zhiliang and jiajie... especially zhiliang... Who is the model hardworking student whom i admire... Keep it up kor! Wo hui xiang ni duo duo xue xi de! haha... Being hardworking is good lar. More so since now im on scholarship, i have to maintain a min CAP of 3.5.. which is not very difficult actually.. BUT my aim is not 3.5! I want 4 and above!! haha... ren yao you li xiang cai hui cheng gong. =)

Too busy to blog the past 2 days.. actually today also very busy.. but i just have to come and blog about my NDP experience!!!

After yearning so many years for tickets to go to the National Day Parade... i finally got my chance! Thanks to Zan Xuan who managed to get 2 tickets from her brother who is a medical officer on duty at NDP. Both of us has never attended NDP.. so we were really excited.. and we were so lucky lo... We got super good seats! Its in the yellow section.. but since we reached very early, we sat at the part nearest to the VIP seats, directly beside the road, and directly behind all the reporters and cameramen... And best of all we dun get the sun!! woohoo!! The supreme court blocked away all the sunlight... We were all cooling off while the the other sections were still holding their umbrellas to block the sun. hahahaa.

Seeing all the performance from up close is so different from watching from a TV... hearing the sounds super loud and seeing all the special effects so near only.. damn shiok.. And one thing i found out.. all the band music and choir singing are pre-recorded.... Feel so stupid.. i always thot wad i heard from the TV was LIVE.... haiz... I was sitting so near the SAF band lor.. yet i can only hear the drums.. thats all. How could i have thot it was LIVE??

Anyway the fireworks were GREAT!!! And again our seats proved its worth.. they are right under the fireworks... So it felt like the fireworks are falling onto me from the sky.. the sight was breathtaking!! wooohooo!

MOE Teaching Scholarships Presentation Ceremony 2005

Its the big day i had been looking forward to ever since i knew im gonna get the MOE Teaching Award. Now that it is over.. i can say that i had such a wonderful time!! hahaa... First good thing that happened was i met YiFang.. my school mate from primary school all the way to JC... and same class from pri1 to sec2 lor! Today see her really happy... turns out she's on Education Merit Scholarship.. now studying Economics in London... And she is so much more girlie now!! hahaa... We had a nice chat... she told me she's on attachment in TKSS.. and happened to meet Mdm Chee, the teacher i invited to the ceremony. Mdm Chee told her that she got a big shock seeing the invitation but she's gonna come and support me! hahahaa.. i was so happy to hear that.

During the break after the boring rehearsal.. i went off to get some coffee and food with WeiCang (he is also MOE TA holder)... then i met xu lao shi there!!! (xu lao shi is how we always call Mdm Chee) Seeing her and talking to her is a great pleasure.. Because she is a truly inspiring teacher who made a deep impression in me and my fellow classmates from sec school... She is strict and demanding, she scolds and punishes, but we all still like her very much. Thats the amazing thing about her.... She reprimands us in way that we feel that she cares... and she doesnt demoralises us... so we all respect and admire her... And she can be really humourous at times! Until now, some of us still visits her on Chinese New year eve or Teacher's Day... we would always have a nice chat reminiscing abt the past.

This time was no exception. After the ceremony, at the tea reception i met up with my mom and Weiliat who went to support me.. and also met xu lao shi to have some food together.. then chat chat chat.. haha... really a lot of things to talk about leh... Chatted for so so long... And we met Mrs Chan, ex-principal of TKGS, now principal of ACJC... then chat chat chat.. but this conversation was a bit more chim.. so i was a bit less involved.. But nonetheless, i did chipped in a bit of my valuable opinions... hahaha. (we were talking abt the changes in chinese curriculum which naturally interested xu lao shi)

All these conversations left me very inspired.. now i dream of becoming a principal liao!! haha. Dare to send your kid to my school in future?? hahaha...
