Th Sound of Music is my favourite musical of all... spent 90 dollars for a not-so-bad seat at circle2 and attended the concert yesterday night. Woah... i must say i was utterly impressed.. all the singing and dancing were so perfect.. plus the backdrops and props were so realistic.. (except for Maria's room, where there is a mountains backdrop, i mean how can there be mountains right behind the bed?!) And the youngest little 5-year-old girl was so adorable that she melted my heart away when she sang 'So Long, Farewell'...even though her voice cracked a little at a high note.. dunno whether is she purposely 'act cute' or she really cracked.. hahaa.
This musical brings to me lotsa fond memories... cos when i was in sec2 TKGS choir performed The Sound of Music... i remember that i performed for both the 'Lonely Goatherd' and 'My Favourite Things'... and i looked so stupid with 2 pig tails and ribbons on my head... hahaa.. The concert was very successful lo... cos we watch the movie a million times and followed all the dance steps till near perfect man.. hehee.. That was one of the most memorable nights in my life..

Wah sai... It has been a looooong time... the past 2 weeks was the massive mugging period... i stepped out of the house only 5 times... each time the destination was NUS.
But now my exams are NEARLY over lo!!
I can be so happy and relaxed now is cos my last paper is next friday lo... plenty of time to prepare man. So now its time for celebrations!! hehee
Yesterday right after my exams i met zan xuan for shopping at Orchard...within an hour i spent 50 bucks on a pretty dress from Fond Hugs! My favourite place to shop for skirts and dresses... cos there's lotsa colours and designs to choose from... and price.. ermm.. not too expensive la.. hehee.
After shopping, we had dinner at NYDC with kenneth... we ate a lot of dessert lo... but super nice sia... the New York Cheesecake with chocolate fudge or with mango ice cream.. Like that another 20 bucks gone...
I stayed over at zan xuan's place to admire her 200 over photos taken during her Korea trip some time ago... the cherry blossoms are so beautiful.. makes me feel like going too!
And i cut my hair at REDS today... i didnt want to at first la.. but zan xuan went there to cut hair too so i also cut lo... since my hair was in a rather messy state la.. ke shi hao gui oh! 40 bucks gone...
50 + 20 + 40 = 110 bucks
ARRRGGGGHHH... i've over-spent the amount of money i've saved over the mugging period (since i stayed at home everyday)
THIS IS BAD.

YOHOOOO!
Sun Xie Zhi smiled at me today!!
haha.. i went to the autograph session held at IMM (again).
But tian bu zuo mei la... the weather was far too hot... though i was fully prepared with sunblock, umbrella and plenty of water... me and sheya decided not to join the queue under the hot sun.. We sat at the side where the shade was and studied our notes!! hahaha... Unbelievable rite? The security guards who saw us must think we are insane... cos we cant really be normal if we can concentrate with the amount of noise around... But seriously i managed at least 5 pages... so proud of myself!!
After waiting for more than 3 hours...5566 finally came at around 1.40pm. (supposed to be 1pm) They sang 2 songs - yuan dian and cun zai... Anyway a funny happened at the start of the first song.. You know the songs are all pre-recorded and played, so they only have to mouth the lyrics.. Well.. for the first song, ren fu was suppose to 'start'.. but when the song already started 'playing', he haven start 'singing'!! haha.. he looked so pai seh lo.. xie zhi even had to prompt him man.. hahaha.. i bet he hasnt got enough sleep. poor thing.
After the performance and blah blah.... it was time for autographing... we didnt queue mah... so we went off for lunch instead.
After our lunch, we went back and joined the queue. However, this stupid security guard came to us and shouted through the loud speaker that they are gonna cut off the queue so the back pple wun get to go.. WHAT THE ****!!
But tian wu jue ren zhi lu... it just took a few super fierce die-hard fans to go and 'sort it out' with the stupid guards!! haha.. im serious.. its rather humourous to see how these pple quarrel with guards.. and got so heated up till i thought they were gonna get physical... but it didnt happen la. So of cos in the end, the battle between 200+ fans against 5 pathetic security guards was marked by a victory on our side!! haha... i got to see xie zhi lo!
Actually i think we were real cheaters... we didnt queue from the beginning.. we even went to eat lunch while others were still queuing... but still managed to go on stage becos of the few 'rebels'... haha.. hao shuang.

Had a perfect date with Weiliat. hehee
Firstly we watched The Pacifier!! Its really a brilliant show.. so so super funny.. i laughed away all my exam stress! haha.. Next, we went on for my favourite activity.. which is something all perfect dates have mah... hahaa. SHOPPING. But thats not the best part... The best part is ---------- I'm not paying. =)
How wondefully happy was I!
I got the wallet i've been eyeing at for months... its dark red and have leaf-like patterns on it.. It has a superb fragrance of genuine leather! .. haha.. pardon me.. i have a fetish for leather smell.
Next, i got a pretty blue skirt with intricate flowery designs... i've already got a couple of blue skirts la but i dun care.. cos this one is too beautiful to resist!!
And next, ... erm... well i actually eyed a pair of black shoes too.. heheh..
(save it for my next shopping trip ba! =P)

wahaha.. bu yong huan qian de shopping shi zai shi yi da xiang shou!! Thanks darling!!

I was at MOE Podium Block, level 3, interview centre... the rain was so so heavy.. dark clouds filled the whole sky.. and i felt a sense of gloominess as i looked out of the glass panel while waiting for my turn.. Its the first interview i am going for in my whole life and i have this feeling that i will screw it up.

Met these 2 temp staffs at the reception.. they looked extremely bored.. well i understand their plight ( i was in their position a year ago when i worked in MOE)...so i went to chat with them and they told me who to expect in the interview room.. So i found out that the principal of TKGS, Mrs Loke-Yeo was inside (at my time she was the VP)...aka 'the not-as-good-as-the-previous principal' ..eh im not xian-ing here k... ask any TKGian and they will say that Mrs Kelvyna Chan (now ACJC principal) was better lo.. So anyway i didnt like her then, but i was going to meet her in a few minutes!! sheesshh..

Alright.. interviews are all about faking.. and a measure of how well you fake.
I was all-smiles when i went in.. sat down.. and maintained constant eye contact..
Mrs Loke-Yeo started it off by saying im her ex-student.. then jokingly said that she wun comment too much in case she is biased.. haha.. not very funny actually.. but she was laughing la. The guy in the centre was Jurong JC principal... who kept smiling at me until i felt uncomfortable... The last one was a MOE officer, manager of TSU (teaching scholarship unit)... whom i actually recognised and i think she recognised me too.. But other than smiling at the beginning, she keep a straight face through out the 15min interview.. SO the interview turned out to be like an interesting conversation between me and the ever-so-friendly JJC principal..
Questions they asked me:
How has giving tuition inspired you to be a teacher and how do you think the experience will help you in being a teacher in future?
Comment on any recent education policy. ( i talked abt the removal of PEARLS system)
Why didnt you take geography in secondary school and JC?
How would you deal with a class of Normal Academic students who are poor in their studies?
... and a couple of qns which i didnt anticipate...
Do you want to be a principal?
Do you know of a chinese motto of the MOE? (of cos i dunno la.. turns out to be something about a set of 5 basic values of teachers... 'wu da mei de'... )

Time passed real quickly... before i knew it my mouth was aching from too much smiling... i cant remember what i've spluttered now.. all i know is there must have been a lot of crap.. haha.. well i guess that JJC principal was rather convinced by me cos he was STILL smiling at me by the end of the interview while the other 2 already looked a little bored... haha.. so my fate lies with them bah.. Wish me luck. =)

Anyway.. the rain got even worse by the time my interview was over.. So i thought i should spend some time visiting my ex-colleagues at TTU (trainee teacher unit) while waiting for the rain to stop... But i had no idea how to get pass the security with no valid reason!! I thought of faking as temp staff.. but usually they come in at 8.30am and not at 11am.. so not convincing.. So i tried telling the security man i have an appointment with Siew Geok (my favourite superior).... But guess wad?! .. he dun believe sia.. he called up to confirm leh.. thankfully Siew Geok recognised my name and told the security to let her tok to me.. Hehee.. na jiu hao ban lo! .. the security man dun understand chinese! wahaha.. So of cos in no time i was upstairs chatting with Siew Geok, Molly, Nancy.. etc... And Jiwei specially came over and said hi to me!!! (sorry crystal i know u are jealous =p) .. He even asked me why i never bring my brownies to treat them.. hahaha.. And i saw the little 'plaque' which was a gift to the TTU staff from a few of the temp staff.. its hanging on the wall beside Molly's table!

MOE really brings back lotsa fond memories...some things have changed (eg sheryn is much thinner now!) while some things are still the same (eg siew geok is still so humourous) ....hahaha.. i wanna go back and work again ah! .. but no vacancies le... =(
Got like 7 temp staffs there now lor.. hope they all ji ti tiao cao!

I am going for MOE teaching award interview next monday!!
good news and bad news.
Good news cos i'll get the award unless i really screw up the interview. Bad news cos they want me to take English modules.... arrggh
At first i thought its not so bad u koe... but today i asked a fren of mine, who is a English major, to show me some of his notes.. they suck big time man! .. i mean... so damn chim lor... bu-shi-ren-du-de la... i think even worse than medicine ah.. ( yes renjun, its worse than wad u study.. at least in my opinion) ..So now i super headache.. i need to think of how to convince them to let me take something else... HOW??
