Very sorry to my dear readers for not coming up with exciting episodes of my life for so long. HAHA.
Cos my life has been boring mah.. why make you read about my mundane life?
For the past 2 weeks it has been deadline after deadline line... after all these deadlines i really become half-dead lor.
Now only left one more, which is on 4th Nov. A project for my most hated module - East Asia.
Exams are coming oh! Starting on 18 Nov and ending on 28 Nov.
But no worries! I've started studying already!! hahaa.. im a mugger la, im kiasu la. WADEVER u say. BLEAH. haha... Tuesday just studied with Xuan and Sheya in NUS Central Library then continued at Munchie Monkey. Hey pple Munchie Monkey is a really nice place to study... especially if you can get that huge sofa all to yourself.. that day me and Sheya just lied down there like Cleopatra and read our notes as if it was our home. haha.. HAO SHUANG i tell you. And the music there was terrific too.. very soothing and relaxing feeling..
Tomorrow, they are coming over again to study together!

Btw after that previous lesson i taught at Victoria Tutorial Centre, i actually went back again the following Saturday.. By then their exams were already over and Mr Ong (the principal) told me to expect very few students.. But turned out nearly all came!! And he said its because they knew i was coming? wahaha.. paiseh leh.. Haha.. Anyway i really enjoyed teaching them again. Since exams was over i decided not to bore them with things they studied for exams.. but i cannot just play games and chat rite? haha.. so i started telling them about Sec4 topics in advance (they were in Sec3).. I purposely chose the topic Permutation and Combination.. cos i suppose it was the most interesting. (And also cos one of the students who was from VS have already studied it, cos VS is too kiasu) So i was teaching them how to calculate the chance of winning 4D i.e. calculate the total number of combinations you can get from from 10 numbers (0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9) and 4 positions.. blah blah.. it turned out that the chance is about less than 1 in a million. Thus i taught them a lesson - Do not waste money on gambling, you will not win. SEE, i've combined moral education with maths. How interesting. Hahaa... Oh and one more thing, my favourite student - that guy from VS (i like him not cos he is from VS), who is so very smart, always the first to solve the maths questions and who is the most hardworking - is called WEI3 LIE4, exact same words as my boyfriend's name. So coincidental. It must be fate.. heheh.

Ok.. Now back to the topic about exams.. I was saying i've started to prepare for exams liao... blah blah.. Hmm.. this is not important. I shall talk about my holiday plans after the exams!
1. I will be going to Bintan (2D1N) with Sheya and Xuan on 3, 4 Dec!! Yeah!!! We have been wanting to go overseas together since we graduated from JC.. Now FINALLY. We will be staying in Nirwana Resorts, a 5star hotel with excellant facilities - we were particularly attracted by the big swimming pool with jazzuci and swim-up poolside bar. Also, im very excited about the mangrove tour we can go, where i will see lotsa interesting animals. I just studied about mangrove swamps in a physical geog module so im looking forward to see the things ive learnt!
2. I will going to Bangkok and Pattaya (5D4N) with Weiliat from 17 to 21 Dec. Wooohoo!! Been hearing about Bangkok from so many friends, finally i get to go see lo!! In Bangkok, I will get to see the Grand Palace and the floating market featured in the movie - Anna and the King; in Pattaya i will get to see coral reefs, another thing i studied about in the same geog module.
So i suppose my holidays are gonna be quite educational indeed!
Heeheehee.. my December is packed eh... All thanks to MOE.
You know why?
Haha.. thanks MOE for the $$$$... how else you think i got money for holidays?
Next year i still gonna use the money to learn driving.

Had an interesting day today.

This morning i was at ECP on a geograghy fieldtrip for the module Terrestrial and Coastal Environment. We were there to study all the features of the coast. Each of us are suppose to come up with a detailed diagram of a section of the beach (about 100m), and label all the features... A non-geography person may think the coast is just the sea and the beach... Its actually A LOT MORE than that.. Water waves got many types, the beach is divided into zones, there is the breakwaters, the vegetation (trees and grasses) on the beach, type of trees, type of sand, slope angle of the beach, angle and speed of the waves, low or high tide... Do you know that the area that connects the beach to the breakwater is called a tombolo? Do you know that the waves that rise up near the shore and then collapse (where surfers like to surf on) are called breaker waves? Do you know that breakwaters are there to prevent the beach from eroding and recceding? Amazing how a simple looking beach can be so complex in terms of the various features and processes... Thats why i love geography. =)

After the fieldtrip, i went to relief teach at Victoria Tutorial Centre. (its in the building opp. Parkway Parade) Its where i had tuition last time when i was in secondary school, so i sort of know the pple there le... It was a very last minute thing.. Crystal called me to ask me to go cos the teacher is sick. So i went.. though i thought i looked more like a student since i was wearing t-shirt and berms... I taught a Emaths class followed by an Amaths class. Not easy eh... so long never touch maths liao lor... Emaths not so bad cos im still teaching Hui Ting (my tuition student) Emaths up till now.. however Amaths is already hidden somewhere in my memory and takes time to recover.. But the classes went quite ok la.. The Emaths class was rather quiet cos we dunno one another.. the Amaths class was much better cos a few of the students are from the Emaths class so i already kinda built a little rapport with them le.. so this class was much more lively.. i went through questions with them and talked a lot of crap as well.. hahaa.. Its like chatting during class.. Sounds inapproppriate but i dun care la cos it was very fun.. I talked to them abt JC, Alevels, their ambitions etc.. One VS boy told me he want to become a teacher in future and asked me how to become one. So i told him best is to get good results then apply for the Teaching Scholarship! Like me! haha... Another told me he wants to become a doctor...then i said must get 4As for Alevels, then he nearly fainted.. hahaha.. not say i wan to scare them, but its reality mah. Then i also talked abt entry requirements to JCs... when i told them VJC cut-off is L1R5 6, many nearly fainted again.. haha.. They were such an adorable bunch of students. This is the first time i actually stood in front of a class (about 10 students) and teach.. and being called teacher or 'cher or m'am.. which makes me feel so old lor.. This is a very different feeling from teaching one-to-one tuition which i have been doing for a long time... Teaching a class is more challenging, cos have to take care of more pple.. so must be super attentive and responsive.. and cannot be too boring as well.. This feeling is great. I LOVE IT... I LOVE TEACHING. hehee..Whats more... teaching at the exact same classroom where i used to be a student makes the experience all the more interesting.. when i see the students i keep recalling how i used to be sitting where they are listening attentively to the teacher. (usually la..) The whole room still looks perfectly similar, despite its after more than 3 years... Especially the curtains, i recognize them immediately. And i saw Mr Sim! He was my physics and chemistry tuition teacher then.. now he is still teaching physics and chem.. and still have that same hair style and still wearing the same old set of clothes - white shirt and black pants. Haha.. every lesson same outfit lor.. Now still like tat.. hahaha.. I had such a fun time today, and the pay was good too! heheh.. Thanks Crystal for asking me! =)
