Hahaa... More appropriately.. it was an unpleasant sauna experience...
How much more i appreciate my air-con now... Heh.
My handphone was put to good use just now.. cos you know why?
Haha.. it has a torchlight function! Without it perhaps i cant even find the candles.. And i even used it to read magazine... So proud of my hp.. HAHAA...
Today i had a lot of fun cycling at ECP with Sheya...I've got 2 bikes (actually one is my bf's).. so she met me at my house first and we cycled over to ecp together...Its Tuesday so we went Gelare and ate my favorite waffle with 2 big scoops of ice-cream... yum yum.. hehee
The wind was very strong and was blowing against me much of the time.. it was so hard to pedal.. i had to use do much strength! .. my legs are still aching now..
After we had enough of cycling, we went to Parkway... Spent some time at EZOne.. played Jurassic Park and Time Crisis.. After which our whole body ached.. legs due to cycling, hands due to shooting so much..
Hope i've burnt a lot of calories. heh. =)

After tuitioning his sis, we went to Geylang (in his nicely polished car of cos) to eat beef kway teow.. cant rememeber which Lorong it is... but its real nice.. i love it.
I brought my new camera along, so he drove me to this place with beautiful night scenery to play around with my camera... I think its called Cosy Bay.. its opposite the stadium and near Dunman High School.. the place where there's the bridge which often appears in tv serials... Aiyah i hope i'm making sense. haha.
Anyway, i really love the scenery there... not as nice as wad you can get overseas.. but not bad... good enough to let me try out my camera's Night Shooting Mode.
Took many shots... hmm... shall try to figure out how to post pictures here so i can put my nice photos!

Yesterday i met the very cute hairdresser from REDS at orchard mrt station.. i said hello to him leh! .. hehee..
Okiee... enough talk about him.. my bf reads this blog.. =P
Yesterday my mom bought me a digital camera from a Cannon roadshow at Hougang Mall... Its the Power Shot A75... Its heavier than Ixus but has much better functions and bigger LCD screen... And best of all its on sale and comes with so many free gifts! hehee.. Zhiwei told me about the promotion cos he works part-time there.. so i go there support him loh.. i get my free gifts, he gets the commission. heh.
Oh.. i'm so happy!! Finally i've got my digi cam!!
Today me and Weiliat went Evelyn's house to use the gym and swim as well... Btw she lives in THE BAYSHORE... the condo which has by far the best swimming pool i've ever went... haha. A bit exaggerating la... but i just like that pool. Heh...
The weather was really nice.. quite sunny... so i've got a bit of tan on my arms and back... nice nice.. =)

The first three are siblings.. so i go to the same house for tuition 3 times a week.. how sian.. luckily its quite near my house..
My favorite student is the P2 girl... so cute, so talkative and so cheerful...Smiles all the time... And best of all she loves doing homework, especially maths.. Unlike her 2 brothers.. absolutely no hope man... mischievious and lazy... Wont do any work i give them until i complain to their mum.. sigh.
My second favourite student is of course the JC1 girl.. she's Kenneth's sister btw.. Well.. think probably cos our age difference is only 2 years, we can chat fairly well so at least tuition is not so boring..
I think tuition really broadens my mind... firstly it refreshes my brain of the knowledge i've learnt in the past years, secondly prevents my brain from becoming rusty after so many months of no school, thirdly its a great opportunity for meeting and communicating with people of different ages.. It has been wonderful experience overall.. and good money.. heh.

Yesterday Evelyn brought me to REDS, introduced me to her hairdresser and told her about my natural curls problem... End up i made an appointment... for rebonding my hair...
The hairdresser who is supposed to do my hair is called Penny. She looks very professional and she is very professional anyway. But she is real busy... so most of the rebonding process was done by another guy, who is an apprentice, whom Penny is in charge of... Penny just comes over once in a while to check on the progress and give him instructions..
Although he is an apprentice, he is real professional too.. and extremely careful...And best of all, he looks so cute!! ...hehee.. During the long boring 4-hour process, he chatted with me and told me about wad he is doing to my hair... and kept on assuring me it will turn out fine... haha.. i think i looked a bit too nervous..
Thankfully i had his company man... or else i can just die of boredom!!
Finally after the rebonding is all done... Penny came over and gave me a haircut.. My hair looks really nice after that!!
So straight and smooth.. and the most important thing is it doesnt look flat... which i thought would be the result of rebonding... haha... No more untidy curls everywhere!

Not sure how you say it in english.. is it Dragonboat Festival or Dumpling Festival?
Well anyway, i love to eat dumplings... i know how to make them but very lazy to...cos it requires a lot of work..
So last sunday i went my bf's house to eat dumplings made by his grandma...
Taste really great man!!
Every dumpling is stuffed with a lot of indregients... oh man.. im gonna start drooling if i continue to think about it... hahaaa.. i still got 2 more in my fridge! =)
To think about it, i haven mentioned my bf's name after all these while... referring to 'my bf' all the time... hahaa....
Ok... time for some introduction.
My bf's name is Chee Thow Wei Liat (si1 tu2 wei3 lie4) ...its quite an uncommon 2-word surname... So i was thinking if i ever marry him, i would be Mrs Chee Thow.. sounds so unique ya? haha.. better than plain Mrs Lim, Mrs Tan..etc. (no offence k?)
We were both from VJChoir.. and thats how we met..
He's really good at singing and composing songs.. thats probably the best part i like about him.. heh. =)
And as for me... my name is Elaine Chong Hui Yin.. my chinese name sounds exactly the same as 'will win' in chinese.. yeap... but my name hasn't really brought me much luck all these years.. i dun remember myself winning anything... i absolutely dun have a single trophy...

Fell off my bike while trying to avoid a tree in front of me... aiyah i know it sounds stupid.. i dunno why i didnt see that tree until i was so close to it. So i got 2 big bruises on my knees.. one on each knee.
And one big patch of blue-black on my thigh.. now its becoming swollen.. looks real disgusted.
Sigh... you know.. when i was learning how to cycle, i didnt fall down at all leh.. no injury no nothing... even though everyone tells me learn cycling sure kena fall down all the time. Probably tats why i took so long to learn.. i was too careful.. haha.

I learnt that mian2 qiang2 shi4 mei2 you3 xin1 fu2 de4 (it wun do you any good to force youself) ... ok that was like near 5 years ago..
So i was looking at the bottles... and i suddenly hope that once i look up or turn around i would see him.. alright i know that only happens in dramas... (ok so i've been watching too much tv.)
Actually to think of it, i haven seen this friend for quite some time... Cannot say i miss him la.. but just suddenly wanna see him again.
Today i met up with my ex-colleagues (crystal, prisilla, yanli) for dinner at Ikea. We had a sumptuous meal at the cafe.. meatballs(large)+ fish&chips + spaggetti + 6 chicken wings... I love the swedish meatballs.. so sad its only sold at Ikea and its so far from my house. Crystal love the meatballs as much as i do.. both of us were so excited about going there for dinner man.. haha... and today yanli had her first try of our fav food... her face looked so satisfied.. haha.(crystal you post the pic of yanli on your blog k?) oh we have good taste dun we crystal?
After dinner, we bought some materials from Ikea and made a little gift for all our superiors at Trainee Teacher Unit. It looks really nice and sweet.. (crystal post a pic of it too k)

Its so yellow... which is my favorite colour now.. And i say 'now' cos my favorite colour changes with time... and mood. yea... probably nowadays i'm a happier person.. last time i used to really like blue.
Burnt a lot of calories today... cycled to Zan Xuan's house under the hot sun.. sweating like mad by the time i reached there...
(btw she lives in Telok Kurau Lor L.. at the end of the LorL furthest from my house)
I actually went her house to swim.. so we swam loh.. Luckily the pool is sort of shaded.. or else we would have become shao zhu (roasted pig)..
Then of cos i cycled back home.. the journey back was great.. cos no sun.. and the wind blows strongly when i speed...
I think i'm really a certified computer idiot.. guaranteed plus chop.
Actually Crystal has taught me how to change my blogskin and add a tagboard....Oh man... but all the HTML is too much for me... So luckily i have kind Zan Xuan to help me do everything.. haha....i just sat there and choose the pattern and colours.. =P

I tidied up my room... cleared all the rubbish.. My room looks real clean and neat now. =) .. then i mopped the floor... and wiped my piano...
Then i cooked dinner... 3 dishes plus soup k.. dun play play... hehee.
After dinner, me and my mom went shopping at Parkway.. (btw my mom commented tat my cooking's not bad.. heh)
There's sale everyway... so shuang3!! My mom bought me a jacket from Baleno and a pair of shorts from OP. Then we went Popular and bought a lot of stationery... my mom said might as well buy more now since we got 20% discount coupon.. haha.. 80+ bucks on stationery alone... Can you imagine how many pens i have now?

Just awhile ago my bf called me from SISPEC.. Apparently SISPEC grounds is further away from mainland Singapore than BMTC.. SO the reception there's real lousy..
He told me that in his bunk only 3 pple's hp got reception.. How pathetic.
Luckily he's one of them... Haha.. cos he uses Singtel... m1 is okiee... Starhub sucks..
Basically Starhub reception in SISPEC is near zero.. Those pple even need to go to the top floor and attempt to get reception.. and it'll all depend on your luck. Hahahaa..

Like today i was suppose to meet my bf at aljunied mrt station... being so used to "call you when i reach there"... we didnt specify which part of the station to meet... So end up he waited for me at the platform while i waited for him at the control station. And we cant contact each other cos i dun have a phone. So dumb rite?
Its a waste of time.. and a complete nuisance!
So i've decided to get a new hp.. and real soon!

I dunno whether i should get a new phone.
To buy back my old phone model, i need to pay around 300 bucks.. cos i cant upgrade nor trade in... Even if i buy second hand, it'll cost 200+.. And i dun like the idea of using a phone tat someone else used before anyway... so... hai.. and i'm quite broke.
Now i'm using my very very old phone.. 3310. The keypad is nearly spoilt..
8 more months before i can upgrade my line... cant imagine myself using this stupid phone for another 8 mths!!
This is so irritating!
Anyone has an extra phone to lend me for 8 mths????

Cycled from my house to my bf's house, then from his house to parkway, then from parkway to my house.. Although we dun live very far from parkway, its still quite a lot ya?
But i love cycling.. Ever since i learnt how to cycle a month ago, i simply adore this form of excercise.. I love it when the wind blows at me when i speed, i love it when i go down slope, i love it when i can ring my bell at pple and they siam4 me..haha.. And of cos i love it when my thighs feel tired cos tat would mean i just burnt some of the calories there..HahaaHAA.. Seriously i think my thighs are slimmer now leh. But i doubt anyone notice them except me. My bf would say i'm crazy... "how can a bit of cycling make your thighs slimmer??" he would say... EH. Can loh.. why not? Somemore its not just A BIT of cycling wad...

Spent all my time going out with my bf..shopping...walking aimlessly everywhere...
Watched Harry Potter and Best Bet...
Best Bet was really funny... especially pple who knows Hokkien.. You'll enjoy it!
I'm real lousy with dialects...Had to read the subtitles to understand and somemore the chinese words are in the fan2 ti3 zi4.. i had a hard time trying to catch up with the jokes... so my laughter always a bit lag.. pple laugh finish then i laugh.. haha. Alright la... but i really enjoyed the show.. morale of the story: dun be obesessed with buying lottery. Chances of striking lottery is one in a million and not 50-50.. according to Mark Lee in the show "its either win or lose wad so the chance of winning is 50%!!" ........
I'm an avid fan of Harry Potter..i expected this episode to be very nice but it turned out just so-so... a little disappointed..
Anyway i wanna tell you all a story...
Since i'm a fan of Harry Potter so of cos i'm very enthusiastic about the movie's advance sales and booked tix long before its out..
I booked online by credit card.. since i know i can easily use my card to collect the tix at any AXS machine, i didnt print the confirmation slip..
The movie's at GV Plaza..Me and my bf reached the cinema at 3.15 which is 10min before the screening time at 3.25...
We collected the tix at the AXS machine and went in at 3.20..
I was so excited tat i didnt even look at the tix and i didnt really realise tat the cinema staff was giving me a weird look when we walked in..
I thought we were early.. i mean who actually goes on time or even early for movies.. esp since GV commercials last forever...
BUT when we walked in.. we realised the cinema was full.
AND the movie is screening..... halfway already...
MY LONG AWAITED MOVIE HARYY POTTER HAS SCREENED HALFWAY ALREADY!!
I look down at my tix and saw '0230'.. then looked up to see my bf giving me THAT LOOK.
Not tat he's really angry... more of amused..ermm.. i mean shocked... tat i can be so blur. sigh...
SO morale of the story: print the confirmation slip to remind yourself of the time or collect the tix early in advance and look at it!
Anyway just wanted to share my exprience...
Oh yah.. end up we re-bought the tix.. and my bf paid. hehe. =P

As you should know i'm a computer idiot.. so you can guess i didnt solve the problem myself.. haha. Anyway thanks Kenneth... for getting my comp, setting up my comp, and fixing my comp's bloody stupid problems...heh.thanks. =)
YA. So last friday was my bf's POP. It didnt rain. It wasnt very hot either. The weather was perfect cos its the kind like wanna rain but never rain kind.. yea.. no bright sun plus some cool breeze.. *shuang* ... And it started raining once the whole thing end.. How lucky were we.
Alright for anyone who doesnt know wads a Passing Out Parade like... let me tell you..
Its rather boring. Its just a bunch of green soldiers march in march out.. even if you know any one of them.. it doesnt make it more interesting cos you obviously can't spot anyone.. they all look the same.. All you can see is one big patch of green on the field.
But of cos there's something nice la.. can take photos with my darling.. haha.
I think thats about the only reason that i went.
Btw, for award-winning recruits there's a reception for them after the parade.. That might make a better reason for me to go.. But of cos my bf didn't.. ermm i mean he wasnt one of them..sigh.. so no free food.

Today is my last day of work in my first job....
I've been working at MOE HQ since Dec2003...its basically clerical work la.. and in other words its boring work.. haha.
1. filing documents
2. entering data into the system
3. typing letters
3. photocopying stuffs... etc..
The pay isn't too bad la.. 6 bucks per hr.. considering its such a relaxed job..
After working there for nearly 6 mths.. i more or less feel an attachment to the place.. especially my office table..and my comp.
(MOE leh... of course the comp there works really well and very fast..haha..)
And the people there too.. my fellow colleagues and superiors...
Although i've a generation gap with most of my superiors, they are real friendly people.. and jokes a lot..
Yah.. so i'm gonna miss all these.. and of cos i'm gonna miss my pay =(
Especially with the GSS now.. i wonder how i'm gonna survive without my pay... sigh.. but i have to quit la..
COS TOMORROW IS THE 4TH OF JUNE
Yea.. tomorrow is my bf's POP...and he's gonna have 10 days of hols after that.. so i need to take off from work to accompany him.. so not very nice to take so many days off with nobody to take over my work.. so i might as well quit loh..
Btw if any girls dunno wads POP, its alright..at first i didnt know too.. i thought of 'pop' as in 'pop-corn' .. haha.. anyway.. its Passing Out Parade (which makes me think of 'passing out' as in 'fainting')
... its the graduation parade after BMT (Basic Military Training).
My bf is rather troubled about his posting after BMT.. which is quite dumb cos he is not given a choice, he'll just have to accept wadever that is given to him... And i'm feeling troubled over it too, which is even more dumb cos it doesnt make a difference to me as i'll still only see him on weekends.. sigh.. Wad am i thinking.

I know i'm real lagging... blogging have started to be the IN thing at least a year ago?
Alright.. you can say i'm a computer idiot... People often ask me,"do u have a blog?" ...
i would just say no.. for i have no idea wad the hell is a BLOG.. and of cos i didnt wanna be laughed at for not knowing the IN thing.. so i didnt asked... moreover, in my mind i was thinking,"BLOCK??" ...okok.. indeed i'm a computer idiot.. =P
And this is all because of my stupid 56k dial-up internet access... believe it or not.. i managed to survive 5 years of using it...!! To those out there who have been using cable or broadband all these while probably wun understand.. but to all those who are still using dial-up plan, i understand your woes!! and i really empathise with you... getting disconnected when you're in the middle of a nice chat with someone, taking forever just to download a song,... etc.. In my opinion, the dial-up plan sure sucks to the core... (although its damn cheap.. my mom told me she's only paying 7+ bucks a mth) ..So to anybody still using it.. i'm impressed by your patience. =)
Oh yah.. so i was saying.. i'm a computer idiot due to my stupid internet access..
Thats right... its so bloody slow that i often gave up on using it...and if its something real important and i've got to use it... you'll probably hear me scolding my computer.. not tat it helps.. but just to vent my frustration..
As you can see, i'm far from a very patient person... SO i finally changed to singnet braodband last week..
The feeling is HEAVENLY... =)
Nowadays i realised i'm glued to my comp... its like a new found love...
(considering last time i used to kick it when it hangs..)

Really interesting and enjoyable... but i was hesitant about starting my own one cos i was a bit turn off by the idea tat the everybody can read about my life...
