Spent the whole day being a couch potato... Watched 7 VCDs in one afternoon until my eyes couldn't take it... I haven't done such a thing for a long time.. The last time was when i watched Huan Zhu Ge Ge a few years back...
Guess wad i watched today?

MVP Valentine.

Its the only serial Weiliat watched on vcd... He's definitely not the kind that will watch a whole serial of 20+ episodes at one shot.. The only reason for the exception is because of basketball...
Basketball is his passion.

Before i knew him, i didnt like basketball.. i thought it was a very rough game...whereby a bunch of sweaty guys chase after a ball under the hot sun...
I didnt understand his passion.. i didnt understand his desire to play..
So we would always quarrel when he was torn between going out with me or going to play bball with his friends... I'll get really pissed when he chooses bball, or go out with me but his mind wonders off to the bball court.
There was once we nearly broke up because of bball...
Afterwhich, i told myself i have to try to understand the 'wonders of basketball'...
I tried reading 'Complete Idiot's Guide to Basketball' and also forced myself to go to the bball court where he's playing and watch.. at first it wasnt very pleasant mainly becos of the heat.. but after awhile, i realised watching a bball match can be a very nice experince..

Because i can see their passion and their spirit.. they are not afraid of the hot sun scorching their skin nor the sun rays blinding their eyes... not even when they have to run around barefooted when the ground is so hot, not even when they have a sprained ankle which haven healed properly, and not even when they have some smelly sweat smeared on them when they try to guard someone.....
I saw a display of sportsmanship, a union of friends with similar interest having a happy time together...

I finally knew why basketball is part of his life.. it brings him joy and friendships.. He needs it as much as he needs me.. Oh why did i have to be jealous of bball??

Now things are much better, i'll always let him go play bball when he wants to... i dun even mind going there and just sit there and watch for hours under the hot sun... even when i have to help them buy drinks and food. I just dun mind.. Now i really do enjoy watching bball... Weiliat is an influential person... plus i was willing to be influenced...

Enough of reflections of the day la... haha... MVP is a nice show... =)
